Listen to the Mysterious Signal

Harbormaster Hotel Location

Tune in to the Mysterious Signal to locate the Harbormaster Hotel. You can listen to it by navigating to the Radio menu of your Pip-Boy and selecting the Mysterious Signal frequency.

Mysterious Signal Bug Fix

There is a bug where the Mysterious Signal is completely silent. You can fix this by directly going to the Harbormaster Hotel and entering the New England Technocrat Society section to proceed with the next step of the quest.

How to Fix Mysterious Signal Bug

Investigate the New England Technocrat Society

Inside the Harbormaster Hotel, enter the New England Technocrat Society section which is located in front of the elevator.

Defend Yourself from the Feral Ghouls

Kill all the Feral Ghouls during the ambush. There will be a couple of mini-boss ghouls throughout the fight and you may need to use Chems to buff your damage to defeat them.

Find a Way to Escape

Go through the hallway to the right of the stage and interact with the keypad of the locked door at the end.

Search for Password Clues

Pick up Lana's Notes from a nearby corpse and it will instruct you to investigate each room in the hallway to deduce the password. The password to the locked door is 4346.

Examine the Control Terminal

Inside the locked room, access the AI Control Terminal and disable the AI Control System to end the quest.

Do not forget to pick up the De-Capitalist Helmet on the Power Armor frame nearby, as well as the Picket Fences Halloween Special magazine near the terminal to unlock Halloween Decorations for your settlement.
