Piggy Bank Mine | |
Weight | 0.3 |
---|---|
Damage | 352 Physical |
Piggy Bank Mine is the highest damage-dealing explosive and scatters Bottlecaps after it explodes, making it the best out of all explosives in the game. Its small explosion radius limits its effectiveness for crowd-clearing, and it's more suited to one-on-one boss fights or targeted encounters.
Due to the Next Gen Update, you can get the Piggy Bank Mine in the base game now, expanding its accessibility beyond the Nuka-World DLC.
Nuka Grenade | |
Weight | 0.5 |
---|---|
Damage | 301 Physical
100 Radiation |
Nuka Grenade is the best grenade in Fallout 4, as it has the second highest physical and radiation damage among other grenades.
You can rarely find Nuka Grenades in the overworld or from Children of Atom enemies. You can also craft them in a Chemistry Station to get some.
Nuke Mine | |
Weight | 0.5 |
---|---|
Damage | 301 Physical
100 Radiation |
Nuke Mine is as powerful as the Nuka Grenade but offers a different tactical use as a mine rather than a thrown explosive. You can use this to set up before a boss fight or put on high-traffic areas, like stairs, hallways, or doors, to utilize its effects.
Nuke Mine is a rare item in the overworld, but you can craft it once you get the Demolition Expert perk.
Plasma Grenade | |
Weight | 0.5 |
---|---|
Damage | 150 Physical
150 Energy |
Plasma Grenade can inflict two types of damage, delivering both high physical and energy damage. It's effective against both organic and mechanical enemies alike.
Plasma Grenades are relatively scarce in the game, but you can craft them as long as you have the Demolition Expert perk.
Fragmentation Grenade | |
Weight | 0.5 |
---|---|
Damage | 151 Physical |
Fragmentation Grenade is a versatile and common explosive. It has a balanced damage and explosion radius, making it a reliable option for players who want to utilize explosives during combat.
You can find Fragmentation Grenades throughout the Commonwealth, either from military establishments or human enemies.
Cryogenic Grenade | |
Weight | 0.5 |
---|---|
Damage | 101 Physical |
Cryogenic Grenade can freeze enemies hit by its explosion. Although it is not as strong as the other grenades listed here, it is still great for crowd control because of the freezing effect, especially if there are tons of enemies swarming fast on you.
Cryogenic Grenades are commonly found in technological facilities amd human encampments.
Perk | Simplified Effect |
---|---|
Demolition Expert | Increases explosive damage and unlock the ability to craft explosives. |
Bloody Mess | Increases overall damage and cause enemies to explode. |
Scrapper | Allows you salvage unused weapons to get more materials for crafting. |
