You can scrap junk via the Workshop Menu in Fallout 4 (FO4). Read on to learn how to scrap junk and obtain the materials for crafting!

Drop Junk on the Ground and Scrap Them in Workshop Menu

Fallout 4 - Drop and Scrap Junk

Junk can be manually scrapped by dropping them on the ground from your inventory and going into the Workshop Menu. Select the junk on the ground by looking at it and press R/X/Square to scrap the junk. It will show you what materials the junk will yield.

Store in Workshop and Automatically Scrap Junk When Crafting

Fallout 4 - Store Junk in Workshop

Store all junk in the workshop to automatically scrap them when you need materials for crafting. This way, you won't have to manually scrap all the junk by dropping them on the ground.

How to Store Junk

Approach the Workshop and Press R/X/Square to Transfer Items

Go to the Workshop and press R/X/Square to open the Transfer menu. You can then press T/Y/Triangle to Store All Junk.
