How to Save Kent Connolly

Fallout 4 - How to Save Kent Connolly

You can save Kent Connolly by immediately killing Sinjin and Avery after exiting the elevator in Fallout 4. Learn how to save Kent Connolly and what happens if Kent is saved.

How to Save Kent Connolly

How to Save Kent Connolly
1 Scare Sinjin's Men (Avery) away so it's easier to save Kent (requires Charisma 8 or higher)
2 Headshot Sinjin and Avery when they ask you to come forward (preferably with Rifle that deals 40 attack power)

Option 1: Scare Sinjin's Men (Requires Charisma 8)

Fallout 4 - Threaten as Shroud

The best way to save Kent Connolly is to Scare Sinjin's Men but you have to pass a Charisma check of Rank 8 or higher.

When leaving the final elevator, move forward until Sinjin asks you not to move further. Don't move and a new dialogue option will become available. Speak to Sinjin as Shroud. When you see the option to Scare Sinjin's Men, choose this option. This will scare Avery and the other henchmen off, meaning less enemies for you to deal with while saving Kent.

Best Charisma Perks

Take Grape Mentats

If you have low charisma, you can take Grape Mentats to provide you with a temporary +5 increase in Charisma for 8 minutes.

How to Get Grape Mentats

Option 2: Eliminate Sinjin and His Men

If your Charisma hasn't reached Rank 8 or higher even with the Grape Mentats, you'll have to kill Sinjin and his men before they get Kent Connolly.

After exiting the final elevator upstairs, Sinjin will ask you to come forward and talk. Don't do this; immediately go into VATS Mode and make sure to target Sinjin's and Avery's heads. It's better to be equipped with a Rifle with more than 40 Attack Power, so it's sure to instantly blast their head off.

Do Not Use Grenades, Explosive Guns or Explosive Perk

Don't use grenades or weapons with the Explosive Legendary Perk to avoid accidentally killing Kent alongside Sinjin.

Best Weapons

Finish Everyone Off

More henchmen will be shooting at you. Finish them off as their goal is to kill Kent and you have to kill them first before they reach him.

Once done, the day is saved thanks to you and your quick reflexes. Talk to Kent and cheer him up!
