There is no level cap in Fallout 4 (FO4), but if you exceed level 65,535 the game will crash. Find out how the level cap works, the maximum carry weight, as well as the possibility to max out all Attributes and Perks in one playthrough!
List of Contents
Fallout 4 has no level cap, as confirmed by Bethesda themselves. However, 65,535 is the max level you can play until the game crashes, as per our testing.
You can max out all Perks and SPECIAL attributes in Fallout 4 in one playthrough, since there's no level cap to your character. In total, you will need 272 Perk Points to fill everything up and thus need to be at Level 272 to max out all the Attributes and Perks.
When starting a new game, the player will automatically have 1 point for each Attribute and an extra 21 Perk Points to allocate. There are a total of 229 Perks and 7 Attributes that can be maxed to 10 each.
By collecting all Bobbleheads and Perk Magazines, you can increase your Attributes and Perks faster.
If you can collect them all, then you will only need to be at Level 263 to max out everything.
