If you are having trouble finding an opening to attack Frenzied Jotaz, you can use your Slow ability to get closer and position yourself before your combo.
His attack pattern is usually Left Swing, Right Swing, and then an Unblockable Attack. Be sure to memorize this to avoid taking massive damage.
Most of Frenzied Jotaz's attack patterns are obvious and can be easily parried if they are blockable. Try to parry as much as you can to deplete his shield. When his shield breaks, use this opportunity to deal as much as you can.
His unblockable attacks are easy to avoid because of his slow animation. You can simply dodge and move away as soon as Frenzied Jotaz turns red when attacking.
If you can defeat Frenzied Jotaz, you can pick up the Health Essence inside his cage. This will permanently increase your maximum HP.
