Here are a few combat tips and fighting styles in Star Wars: Jedi Survivor. Read on to learn which combat mechanics are important and which force abilities or stances are best used in each scenario!

Combat Tips

Block and Parry Timing

Deflect
Do not repeatedly spam block to cheat the parry timing as you will not be allowed to block again for a brief moment.

You can practice at Meditation Points to learn how to parry successfully. You can also switch between parrying and dodging for a more dynamic combat experience.

How to Parry

Use Force Abilities

Force Slow
Utilize Force abilities to take down enemies faster or score free hits on certain bosses, upgrading certain force abilities allow you to deal with multiple enemies with one force bar.

Force Push

Instantly kill enemies by pushing them off cliffs using the Force Push, note that this may not affect enemies that can fly.

Force Pull / Lift

Use enemies as shields or deplete their stamina with Force Pull / Lift, then strike them when they're vulnerable. Keep in mind that you may need to upgrade this ability to use it against stronger enemies.

Force Confusion

Utilize Force Confusion to use beasts or strong enemies as allies to kill or distract weaker enemies. You will need to unlock and upgrade this skill to use it against bigger beasts or stronger enemies, it may also not work against any battle droids.

Force Slow

Slow down a single enemy or a specific area by using Force Slow, this allows you to land free hits against bosses and instantly kill weaker enemies. Upgrading this skill allows you to use stronger variants of Force Slow.

Combat Commitment

Combat Commitment
Aside from the Dual Wield stance, all lightsaber stances require you to commit to your attacks; this means that once your attack animation starts you can no longer cancel it through blocking or dodging.

Know Your Enemies

Wampa
Scan your enemies to unlock their information in the Tactical Guide; knowing your enemies allow you to know which attacks are crucial to parry or dodge.

Unlocking enemy information allows you to learn that some of the strong enemies in the game only require specific parries to instantly kill them.

Fighting Styles

Skill Utilization & Timed Aggressiveness

Timed Aggressiveness
Make sure to utilize all Force abilities, explosives, and terrain to your advantage. Note that you will be swarmed by multiple enemies most of the time, so using everything at your disposal is a must.
