Jedi Survivor Companions

Bode is only your companion during the main story, while Merrin can become your companion even after the main game and during free roam exploration.

How to Direct Your Companions

Combat Assist

PlayStation 5 Xbox PC
PS4 - R1 Button.png + PS4 - Triangle Button.png XBOX - Right Bumper.png + XBOX - Y Button.png Ctrl Button
(Left Ctrl)

During combat, lock onto an enemy then press the above button commands to make either Bode or Merrin assist you in attacking an enemy. Merrin can stun enemies, while Bode can fly-kick or throw a grenade at enemies.

You've Got a Friend Achievement

Achievement Unlock Condition
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - Bronze TrophyYou’ve Got A Friend Direct your companions to assist in combat 10 times each

You have to direct both Bode and Merrin 10 times each in order to unlock this achievement.

You've Got a Friend Achievement is Missable

Since Bode is only your companion during the main story, the You've Got a Friend achievement is considered missable. You won't be able to obtain the achievement if you don't direct Bode to help you 10 times in combat prior to the end of Koboh Part 4.

We recommend completing this as early as Coruscant (the game's starting level), so you don't have to worry about it during Koboh Part 4, a more difficult, endgame level.
