The Rancor is a legendary enemy encountered during the Find Missing Prospectors rumor in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Read on to learn more about tips for the Rancor fight, the Rancor's location, and rewards from beating it!
List of Contents
The Rancor has several heavy unblockable attacks that makes blocking ineffective during the fight. Thankfully, these attacks are slow which gives you enough reaction time to dodge them instead.
A few of its unblockable moves have long range such as its Lunge Attack and Earth Smash. Be careful when it swings its arms back or above its head and turns red. Avoid dodging backwards since it can likely still reach you, so dodge to the side instead.
After dodging these moves, you will have an opening to throw a few attacks in while the Rancor recovers. Make sure to back off once it gets back on its feet to avoid getting hit.
Using the Slow ability gives you an opening to attack the Rancor safely. Most of the Rancor's moves, aside from the ground stomp, are slow and front-facing. This means that you can go behind or to the side of the Rancor during the slow to attack it without much risk.

3 | Stay on the Higher Path After removing the blockade, go left and stay on the higher path. You can also get a Priorite Shard on the lower path! |
4 | Remove Another Blockade Remove another blockade using Force and go straight ahead! |
5 | Cross the Bridge You will encounter a stone structure as you continue the path. Use Force to lower the bridge so you can cross it. |
6 | Go Towards the Right Path As you continue, the path will eventually split. Go towards the right to continue. You can get a Sense Echo if you take the left instead. |
7 | Go Right After going through a tight space, you can either go right or go left. Take the right to move forward. Going to the left leads you to a chest at the end. |
8 | Activate the Zipline As you move forward, you will see a zipline machine. Activate it, but do not ride it, and move on. |
9 | Rest at a Meditation Point You will finally reach the area where Rancor is. Make sure to rest at the meditation point first and get the Sense Echo before going in. |
This Rancor is a part of the Find Missing Prospectors rumor in Southern Reach.
Find Missing Prospectors Rumor Guide
There is another Rancor located in Phon'Qi Caverns in the planet Koboh.
To get to Phon'Qi Caverns, you can teleport to the Mountain Ascent meditation point and head towards Foothill Falls. Once there, go left and cross the pool of water. Use the glider bird nearby to cross to the other side, then use the Force to open the basement entrance on the left side of the building.
After defeating the Rancor, you'll be able to collect the Shatter Perk at the back of the cave!
This perk consumes two slots and increases Block Meter Damage. This means that it allows you to be more effective when breaking enemies' guard.
