The Festering Gel can be found by defeating the Ravenous Hunter found inside the Monolith of Greed located at the Dayton Wetlands (6005, -4819) area.

Before heading inside the Monolith of Greed, make sure that you are prepared to battle and equip appropriate gears and weapon for the fight.

In Deviation: Survive, Capture, and Preserve scenario, you can find the Festering Gel at Blackfell Oil Fields (5360, -1557). It can also be found in the Ricci Securement Point (6594, -3453), Refinery Pollution Point (5315, -3703), and Greywater Industrial Zone (4830, -3079).

You can obtain the corresponding Circular Lights for your Deviations by building them via the Furniture Menu. These can be unlocked through Basic Furniture II under Building in your Memetics Cradle.

How to Supply Electricity

You need to wire your Deviations' Securement Unit to a nearby Power Facility that can supply the proper amount of Watts. Electricity can be unlocked under Logistics in your Memetics Cradle, you can start with a Solar Generator.

To use Festering Gel, you'll first need to place it in a Securement Unit. Try to fulfill its preferred environment to maximize its Power and Mood.

How to Get and Use Isolated Securement Unit

Sync Festering Gel to Your Cradle

Once Human - Sync to Cradle
Combat Deviants like Festering Gel can be used to fight alongside you in battle either offensively or defensively to help you take down enemies. Make sure it is synced to your Cradle first so it can help you out in battles!

Press E to Use Your Deviant's Skills!

Once Human - Collectible Anomalies that Provides Aid
In battle, pressing the E Key will pull up a menu wherein you can choose which action they will take, you can either use one of its two skills or have it return to your cradle.

Used as a Barricade

Once Human - Festering Gel
Using Flawless Fortification will create a barricade that you can place within a certain distance. This can be used defensively as a shield from projectiles or to block a Deviant from getting near you.

Meanwhile, using Build Fortification will immediately place the Barricade in front of you and anyone near the Fortification will recover 10% HP and Sanity per second.

Can participate in combat to transform into Shelter and block enemy attacks.
Deviation Skills
Flawless Fortification Throw the Deviation to activate the skill. It knocks back enemies near the hit location and transforms into a fortification.
Build Fortification This Deviation transforms into a fortification at your location that can block ranged attacks. Allies around the fortification recover 10% HP and Sanity per second.

These are the Psi-Skills, possible starting Techniques, and Innate abilities this Deviation gains in the Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve scenario. Note that these skills are exclusive to Deviation: SCP.

Gel Shield
Encases an ally in Festering Gel, granting a shield equal to 3.3% of their Max HP. Consumes 450 Psi Energy.

Psi-Skills are your deviation’s ultimate abilities. They have long cooldowns and can only be used after a short delay. Used right, they can turn the tide of battle!

Techniques

Technique Description
Healing Bullet Fires healing energy, healing allies for a percentage of the caster's Attack.
Healing Aura Activates a healing aura with a 6m radius, restoring a percentage of Max HP per second.
Psi Bullet Fires an energy orb, dealing P. ATK DMG.
Chrysalis Hardens the caster, increasing P.DEF and SP.DEF for 8s.
Healing Heals the ally with the lowest HP, percentage, restoring HP based on the caster's Attack every 0.5s for 5s.
Heavy Pressure Leaps onto the target's head and slams down, dealing AoE P. ATK DMG and knocking the target back.

These are techniques that you can learn through deviation fusions. Some deviations you capture may have these as starting techniques.
