At the Apothecary Basement in Blighted Village

At the basement of the north house in Blighted Village, you'll find a chest with a piece of Infernal Iron upon climbing up a ladder. Note the basement can be accessed by jumping into a pit that's covered in calcified web (set the web on fire to gain access).

Be careful of opening the trapped explosive chest below it first, however, since it can potentially blow up the ladder and prevent you from looting the chest above.

Goblin's Treasure Crates in the Shattered Sanctum

Infernal Iron Shattered Sanctum

The Shattered Sanctum is the area where you can find (and potentially battle) Dror Ragzlin. The Iron Gate itself can be lockpicked (DC 20) but you can also just loot the key straight from Dror Ragzlin's corpse itself. The Treasure Crates also contain some rare equipments and a decent amount of gold.

Mason's Guild Main Building

A piece of Infernal Iron can also be found in the main building of the Mason's Guild. The only way to reach it is to have a Moonlantern equipped while exploring the area.

looted from a Chest in Zhentarim Hideout

Zhentarim Infernal Iron
One of the chests in Zhentarim Hideout houses an Infernal Iron. You can obtain it from the room with two wooden chests. The key can be stolen from Jarg, an NPC near the Iron gates but getting caught and opening the Door will likely result in a battle.

Orthon Loot at the Gauntlet of Shar

Infernal Metal can be looted from Orthon after either deceiving or killing him in the Gauntlet of Shar, at the northeastern corner of the central chamber.

Baldur

As you progress Karlach's questline, she will reveal that she houses an Infernal Engine within her that requires Infernal Iron to keep her going.

By obtaining Infernal Iron, Infernal Metal, and Infernal Alloy, players can deliver it to Dammon at Emerald Grove to prevent Karlach's engine from malfunctioning.
