How to Ask the Goblin Priestess for Help

Get Inside the Goblin Camp

Players will first need to head west of the Blighted Village to reach the goblin camp. Once you're by the entrance, you can either trick the guards into letting you in or sneak your way into the main building which would take up more time. You can also go inside if you saved the goblin Sazza from Emerald Grove.

Should You Save the Goblin Sazza

Speak with True Soul Gut

True Soul Gut - Baldur

After getting inside the building, you have to get past another guard by tricking her into letting you meet True Soul Gut, or by sneaking past her. When you get past them, you can find the priestess straight ahead. It is suggested that you get marked with the brand while talking with her, since it lets you enter other Absolute territories much easier.

Resist Her Peering Into Your Mind

While talking to her, she will want to move to a room for privacy. Separate your character from the rest of the party and follow her to the room. Once inside and alone, she will try to pry into your mind to find out what's wrong. The best choice here would be to resist her entering into your memories so that she does not find out about the tadpole.

Pass the Insight Check

Resist True Soul Gut - Baldur

An automatic Insight skill check will appear when you resist. Passing it will lead to her not knowing how to help you and ends the side quest. This is the quickest way to end the side quest since you will not be imprisoned by her.

If You Fail the Check or Let Her In

Imprisoned in Goblin Camp - Baldur

If you fail the skill check, or choose to let her into your memories, then she will be intrigued by the tadpole and forcefully put you into sleep by making you drink a potion or by casting a spell on you. You will soon wake up in a cell, but Korrilla will come in to rescue you which also ends the quest.

Sneak Into the Prison

There is also the possibility that Korrilla does not arrive to save you. If this is the case, you can have your party sneak into the prison to help you get out.

How to Get to the Prison

1 Go Inside the Sanctum at Goblin Camp
2 Use Lockpick on the Southwest Door
3 Unlock Another Door Using Lockpick
4 Proceed Through the Defiled Temple

Go Inside the Sanctum at Goblin Camp

Head inside the Shattered Sanctum which is at the northern section of the Goblin Camp. This is where the three goblin leaders are also located.

Use Lockpick on the Southwest Door

Use a Thieves' Tool to unlock the door at the southwest corner of the sanctum. The door will be beside a brazier and a headless statue.

Unlock Second Door Using Lockpick

Inside the room there will be another locked door. Use your Thieves' Tool again to unlock it.

Proceed Through the Defiled Temple

Enter the Defiled Temple and look for an entrance that leads down to the crypt. Keep venturing through the temple until you come across the Moon Puzzle.

How to Get Inside the Goblin Camp

Trick the Guards

The Guards at the Entrance

NPC Dialogue Trick the Goblin Guard - Baldur
''Unless you got another reason to be here, feck-shite.''
Dialogue Options Dialogue Results
[ILLITHID | WISDOM (DC2)]
''Stand aside.''
Success
The goblins let you inside the camp
Failure
Force you into combat with the goblins
[INTIMIDATION (DC15)]
''I'm a hired sword - employer's inside. Stand aside. Now.''
[NATURE (DC10)]
''Glossy coat on that animal. Does she belong to the Nordiland worgata family?''
[DECEPTION | (DC15)]
''Your leader summoned me.''
[DETECT THOUGHTS | (DC9)]
Read the goblin's mind.

You want to avoid fighting the goblins since they can call in reinforcements. This makes you severely outnumbered and the battle nearly impossible.

There will be a lot of choices for you to trick the guards, but the best one is Detect Thoughts since it only has a difficult check of 9. Doing so will give you a new dialogue option that will convince the goblins to let you enter. With that, make sure to have someone with high intelligence, like Gale, to speak with them for an even higher chance of success.

You may also choose the Illithid option since it has the lowest difficult among all the others. However, you can only use this once per party member until you take a long rest, so make sure to manage this unique dialoge option carefully.

The Guards Inside Shattered Sanctum

NPC Dialogue Trick the Goblin Inside - Baldur
''State your business. Now.''
Dialogue Options Dialogue Results
[ILLITHID | WISDOM (DC2)]
''I'm not here to talk to a lowly guard.''
Success
The goblins let you inside the camp
Failure
Force you into combat with the goblins
[DECEPTION (DC15)]
''I've got an audience with the one in charge.''
[INTIMIDATION (DC15)]
''You don't need to know my business. Move.''
[DETECT THOUGHTS | (DC9)]
''Probe her thoughts.''

Similar to the previous encounter, you may want to choose Detect Thoughts because of its low difficulty check. You will have a new dialogue option to meet the True Souls. Afterwards, head straight ahead to find Priestess Gut.

Another option you could choose is Illithid due to having an even lower difficult check. You will want to keep in mind which party member can use this option since you can only use it once after every long rest.

Sneak Inside

Climb Down the Vines

Alternatively, you can also try sneaking inside to avoid failing the skill checks. First, you need to climb down the vines by the entrance on the right. Then, jump across the rock platform to enter the camp.

Go Up to the Balcony

Once you are in the camp, cross the bridge and head to the chicken chasing area to the west of the large wooden door. Find the vines and go up to the balcony. After climbing up, make sure to eliminate the sleeping goblins with an attack that kill them in one hit.

Break the Cracked Wall

Break the Cracked Wall - Baldur

Just up ahead, you will need to pass an automatic Perception check to find the cracked wall. Have your whole party pass by it for higher chances of passing. Then, break it by using Force spells or Thunder spells and enter inside the hole.

Go Down the Ladder

Climb Down the Ladder - Baldur

After entering the building, look for a long ladder heading down to the ground floor. There you can find True Soul Gut to finish the side quest.

Rewards for Asking for Help

No Direct Rewards

There are no known rewards for completing this sidequest, aside from meeting Korrilla, one of the devil Raphael's accomplice. You can only meet her if you end up getting thrown into a cell by the priestess.

Additionally, while there are no direct rewards, you can loot an Amulet of Misty Step in the prison area when you end up imprisoned, or when you go to the prison regardless.
