In Baldur's Gate (BG3), the Risen Road is an area located north of the Blighted Village, and contains Waukeen's Rest. Read on to view the maps of The Risen Road and Waukeen's Rest, and to find out all the locations, warp points, and other points of interest in the area.
The Risen Road | Toll House Vault |
You'll find The Risen Road area by going north from the Blighted Village, across the broken bridge.
It is a mountainous area, where you'll find a lot of corpses and hostile Gnolls. Here, you'll find the permanent companion, Karlach, and the Paladins hunting her.
In the northwest part of the Risen Road, you'll find the Waukeen's Rest area, which contains the entrance to the Zhentarim Hideout.
This map contains the vault located in the basement beneath the Toll House at the Risen Road.

The Risen Road Waypoint is located northeast of the area, just a bit north of the Toll House.
Karlach |

Karlach is a Tiefling Barbarian, and you'll find her at the southeast point of the Risen Road area. If you have recruited Wyll, her general location will be marked in the map.
You can recruit her as a permanent companion even if you have Wyll in the party, and you can keep both of them as long as you choose the peaceful choices.

Zhentarim Hideout Hatch |

In the building at the westmost point of Waukeen's Rest, upon entering, you'll encounter the hostile Salazon. If you found out the password either from Rugan in the Risen Road cave or if you pass the check to read Salazon's mind, he'll give you the Engraved Key for the secret entrance in the Zhentarim Hideout.
The hatch is in the same building, just near Salazon's position. Enter it to get into the Zhentarim Hideout entrance area.

The Toll House is a house in the Risen Road where the Paladins hunting Karlach reside. You'll find a lot of dead gnolls and soldiers surrounding the area.
Anders |

Coordinates: (110, 561) |
Anders is the leader of the Paladins in the Toll House in Risen Road, and will ask you to kill Karlach. If you either bring Karlach's head to him, or loot him after killing him, you'll get the uncommon Sword of Justice weapon.
Cyrel |

Cyrel is a trader that will be willing to trade with you as long as you haven't turned hostile on her or her companions yet, and if you don't have Karlach nearby. When you attack any of the people in the house, she'll fight with them and you'll no longer be able to trade with her.
Ornate Wooden Hatch |

Inside the Toll House, there's a vault underneath. You can access it through the Ornate Wooden Hatch inside the house, just near the main door.

This vault is located in the basement beneath the Toll House. There's an Ornate Wooden Hatch inside the house to enter this basement.
There's also a Burrow Hole that connects from the outside of the house to inside the vault, but you'll need to have two party members that can fit through a very tiny hole to get the valuables inside. It's better to simply access the vault from the hatch.

Inside the Vault, you'll encounter a Vault Door. You won't be able to lock pick it; you'll need the Toll Collector's Key to open the door.
The Toll House Key is outside the Toll House, below the slope near Karlach's location, with the coordinates of (100, -523).
Hidden Door |

Behind the Vault Door, you'll find a wall with two chairs inside; this is a hidden door. To open the door, you need to have a party member sit on each chair at the same time.
Behind this door, there's a trap that will activate if you step on it, spewing poison at all the vents around the vault! Make sure to spot it and disarm it before proceeding.
Wooden Chest: Gloves of Heroism |

Inside the room behind the hidden door, you'll find a lot of gold in various containers, and the uncommon Gloves of Heroism equipment inside a Wooden Chest.
Risen Road Cave |

This cave is located north of the Risen Road area. You can enter it from the lower entrance, but this entrance is full of dangerous traps. On the other side of the cave, you'll find a pack of Gnolls attacking a couple of humans.
The humans and the chest they're guarding is part of the Find the Missing Shipment quest.
Flind |

The leader of the pack of gnolls attacking the adventurers is Flind, the Gnoll Warlord. If you manage to get the cutscene upon approaching the pack, you can potentially order Flind to kill the humans, her pack and even herself. This cutscene doesn't happen sometimes, though, and you'll go straight into battle.
She'll drop the rare Shattered Flail weapon and a Mind Flayer Parasite Specimen upon defeat.
Rugan |

Rugan is one of the two humans inside the cave. It's recommended to keep at least him alive.
After defeating the gnolls, you can talk to Rugan. Choose the correct dialogue options and succeed the Persuasion check to find out the password to the Zhentarim Hideout; this will be useful to avoid combat when entering the hideout in Waukeen's Rest.
Caravan Strongbox: Iron Flask |

This Caravan Strongbox is the missing shipment involved in the quest. While difficult, you can lockpick and open it to check its contents. We recommend not doing this, as the contents inside aren't worth it, and there's a lot of good unlockables if you continue the quest by delivering it to the Zhentarim Hideout without opening it.
Inside the chest, there's a Scroll of Feather Fall, and the Iron Flask. The Iron Flask, when used, unleashes a powerful Spectator enemy. You can use this in battle, but note that the Spectator won't be your ally and will be hostile against you as well. There's no reward to defeating the Spectator.

Inside the cave, there are a bunch of containers. One of them is the chest containing the uncommon Reason's Grasp equipment.
Waukeen's Rest |

Waukeen's Rest is a sub-area of the Risen Road. You'll find the buildings burning and some soldiers trying to rescue people inside them.

Waukeen's Rest Waypoint is located south of Waukeen's Rest. West of this waypoint is the Mountain Pass area.
Counsellor Florrick |

Counsellor Florrick is one of the people you can rescue in the burning building in Waukeen's Rest, as part of the Rescue the Grand Duke quest. Destroy the obstacle blocking the 2nd floor room that she is in to rescue her.
Upon rescuing her, you'll get a choice from three rare weapons as reward: The Sparky Points, The Joltshooter, and The Spellsparkler.
Benryn |

Benryn is the other person that you can rescue in the burning building. It is much harder to rescue him since the fire will spread upon opening the door.
We recommend going another way; the house to the west will allow you to safely go to the room that he's in without triggering the fire. You'll still need to pass either the Strength or Investigation check to clear the debris on top of him.
Upon rescuing him, he'll be mourning his dead lover, and will mention a dowry.
Rescue the Trapped Man: Where to Find Dowry
Haystack: Dowry Ring |

The dowry ring that Benryn mentioned is located inside a haystack in a barn west of the burning building. You'll need to interact with the haystack and pass the check for the Gilded Chest containing the Dowry Ring appears.
Bring it to Benryn, and you can either keep the ring or give it back to him to finish the quest. Giving it to him will give no reward, but keeping it also doesn't do much since it doesn't have an effect and is only worth 20 Gold.

In the burning building's 2nd floor, you'll find the northwest room full of fire. There's a Gilded Chest at the end of the room; you can either endure walking into the fire, or putting the fire out with spells or items so that you can get to the chest.
Lockpick the Gilded Chest to get the uncommon Hamarhraft weapon inside.
