Baldurs Gate 3 BG3 - How to Use Non-Lethal Attacks

Keeping Toggle Non-Lethal Attacks active allows you to knock out enemies in Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3) instead of killing them. Read on to learn how to use non-lethal attacks, how to toggle non-lethal attacks, and its limitations in combat.

Toggle Non-Lethal Attacks

Baldurs Gate 3 BG3 - Toggle Non-Lethal Attacks

Toggle Non-Lethal Attacks is a passive feature that you can get at the very beginning of the game, regardless of what class and race you pick. To use it, head over to your passive submenu and click on the Toggle Non-Lethal Attacks feature.

Activating this feature will apply to all active allies in your party, turning all their melee attacks to only knock out enemies instead of killing them.

Use Melee Attacks

Baldur

Once activated, all your melee attacks will knock out enemies when reducing their HP to zero. This applies to all types of enemies except undead and constructs.

Keep in mind that using ranged attacks from either bows or spells will still kill enemies even with the toggle on. Make sure to only use a melee attack when dealing your final blow.
