This is a walkthrough on how to get to the House of Hope in Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3). Find out how you can get access through the Devil's Fee in the Lower City, and how you can obtain the ritual items for the portal.

You will need access to Wyrm's Rock Fortress to get to the Lower City.
Raphael's House of Hope can only be accessed through the Devil's Fee at the Lower City of Baldur's Gate in Act 3.
When you are at Wyrm's Crossings, you will have to find a way past the Wyrm's Rock Fortress. Head over to the drawbridge and start looking for options on how to get across from there.
Once you are past the Wyrm's Rock Fortress, head north to get to the entrance of the Lower City.
How to Get to Wyrm's Rock Fortress

The Devil's Fee can be found to the west of the Basilisk Gate when you enter the Lower City coming from Wyrm's Rock Fortress.
Once inside the building, you will meet Helsik, the shop owner and key person to getting access to the House of Hope in Avernus.

If you fail a check when talking to Helsik, you can have another character talk to her and roll another check.
Helsik has a pouch five (5) essential items needed for summoning a portal to the House of Hope. Talking to her initially will not reveal any options to acquire these through dialogue.
However, there are a few ways to get her to talk about the portal to the house and persuade her for entry, some being:
Other than that, acquiring these items can be done through conventional means such as looking around the building, pickpocketing, or defeating Helsik. Attempting to fight her will be difficult, since this will cause the area to spawn in Imps and Gilded Minotaurs.

The above are known spots for items. In case they differ, try to open inspect other objects in the area.
If you choose not to talk to Helsik and would rather look for the items on your own, all of the ritual items can be found both at the ground and second floor.
The Skull and Incense are common items in the house (and can even be picked up anywhere prior.) The three next items are rarer, the Black Diamond you are likely to have obtained prior to going to Devil's Fee.

The dialogue options above may vary per class and race.
Once you have persuaded (DC18) Helsik to tell you how to get to the House of Hope, you will have to either pay at most 20,000 gold to get her ritual items, or succeed in any of the above Ability Check dialogue.
If you do did not push through with any of the options yet, you can always come back later!
Helsik's Room can be accessed by taking the stairway next to her shop counter. A Thirsty Ward trap will be at the entrance to damage any who try to get to the door. If Helsik did not give you the ritual items, the trap will remain activated.
To disable this trap, interact with the ward and combine it with either water or any similar liquid item (potions will not work.) Once given an appropriate item, the trap will be deactivated.
The next step will be to lockpick the door if you do not have the key from Helsik. Have a Rogue like Astarion take care of these obstacles. After, feel free to explore the room for any items and information.
All items from Helsik's ritual pouch can be placed on the circle in any order.
Once inside Helsik's room, you will find a ritual circle that you must use to get inside the House of Hope.
When placing the ritual items on the circle, you can use the Tactical View have an easier angle to work with. Take out the items from Helsik's Ritual Pouch and place them on the appropriate parts of the circle.
Once all items have been placed on the circle, the portal to the House of Hope should open.
Gaining access to the House of Hope will progress the quest for obtaining the Orphic Hammer and freeing Orpheus.
This also opens up the potential access to other very rare items and secrets, as well as the opportuniity to free the house's original owner Hope and to fight Raphael.
Keep in mind that Raphael is a difficult boss. Party members who are planning to take the Orphic Hammer and face him are advised to have a recommened party level of 12.
