Decoy for the Blood of Lathander

Once players find the Strange Chunk of Amber, the side quest Find the Blood of Lathander will update. The next journal entry will clearly state that this is a fake artifact - a decoy left behind to trick adventurers looking for the Blood of Lathander.

Note: While the Strange Chunk of Amber is a decoy, it does mark the area where you can find the secret entrance that leads to the Blood of Lathander. Solve the statue puzzle in the same room to find the area containing the legendary weapon.

How to Get the Blood of Lathander

Can Be Sold to Merchants

The Strange Chunk of Amber has no other use aside from being something you can sell to merchants. Players can get a measly 55 Gold for it when sold to any of the merchants in the game (less if you have low Charisma).

Where to Find the Strange Chunk of Amber

Found in a Display Case Inside the Inquisitor's Room

The Strange Chunk of Amber can be looted from the Inquisitor's Room at the Crech Y'llek of Rosymorn Monastery. It will be found inside a Display Case right in front of the hidden entrance that leads to the real Blood of Lathander.

Note: Players will also be able to loot the Hoarfrost Boots from the same Display Case that contains the Strange Chunk of Amber.
