Should You Heal Pandirna

Pandirna is a paralyzed Tiefling guarding a chest in Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3) who will call the guards on suspicious people. See if you should heal Pandirna, how to heal Pandirna, how to open the chest, as well as what to do with the Cabinet Key and how to get inside the storage room.

Should You Heal Pandirna?

No Need to Heal Pandirna

If you want to open the chest behind Pandirna, then there are a few ways to go about it. You can break your way in and close the door from the guards, deceive Pandirna, or heal Pandirna then steal from the chest.

Break In and Close the Door From the Guards

This is the fastest way of getting to the chest if you decide to lockpick the door, instead of taking the path in the Makeshift Prison behind the imprisoned Goblin Sazza.

Lockpicking your way in and shutting the door will make Pandirna call for the guards but they won't be able to hear her. This will allow you to take the Cabinet Key and the other contents from the pantry chest and walk away without repercussions.

Deceiving Pandirna

Another option is to use Deception on Pandirna when speaking with her. If successful, she will allow you to take the Cabinet Key from the chest and everything else in the storage room.

Below are the dialogue options with Pandirna. Most of the options will allow you to look around the storage room if successful. If you fail, Pandirna will call the guards if you do not leave. If the guards arrive, you will have to deal with them by talking your way out, bribing, attacking them, or get imprisoned.

Stealing From the Chest

If you do choose to heal Pandirna, she will move, allowing for a blind spot where you can steal from the chest. Use the Shift key to show the sight cones, and have a character with the highest Stealth stat steal the Cabinet Key and other contents.

What to Do with the Cabinet Key

Use It to Open the Alchemist's Cabinet

Just beside the pantry chest is an alchemist's cabinet. Use the Cabinet Key to open it and get the Drow Poison, as well as some other items used for making poisons.

Drow Poison Effects

The Drow Poison can be used to coat your active weapon with poison. Using the poison will make your target fall asleep.

How to Heal Pandirna

Use Lesser Restoration

If you choose to heal Pandirna, you may do so by using Shadowheart's Lesser Restoration or from the Scroll of Lesser Restoration. Other healing spells will not work. Take note that even if you healed her paralysis, Pandirna will not let you touch anything, unless you have deceived her.

How to Get Inside the Storage Room

Lockpick the Door

Before you lockpick the door, make sure to hug the door and that no one can see you by pressing Shift to toggle sight cones. Otherwise, you will alert the guards and you will have to deal with them.

Take the Path Behind Sazza

Behind Sazza in the Makeshift Prison is an alternate path into the storage room if you do not wish to lockpick the door. Do not go inside the stone door nearby. Instead, jump on the wooden platform and continue along the path.
