Use Revivify Scrolls on Fallen Allies

If any of your characters fails their Death Saving Throws they will end up dead. One easy way to resurrect them is to use a Scroll of Revivify. To use the scroll, activate it by double-clicking the scroll, select the corpse of your ally, and then select an empty space where they can safely spawn in.

Ask Withers for Resurrection

In the event that you find yourself short on Scrolls of Revivify, you can ask Withers to resurrect your fallen ally (or allies) by paying him 200 Gold. This will usually be the cheaper option compared to purchasing a Revivify scroll off of traders.

However, do note that Withers can only revive playable characters. NPCs who you cannot add to your party cannot be revived by the skeleton man.

Use the Revivify Spell

Alternatively, parties with spellcasters may also opt to use the Revivfy spell if they have it on hand. Clerics will naturally learn this spell at level 3, while Paladins learn it at level 5. Use this instead of your Scroll of Revivify since spell slots can be recharged by Long Resting.

Can You Revive Friendly NPCs?

No, Friendly NPCs Cannot Be Resurrected Once Dead

NPCs you encounter throughout the game cannot be resurrected once they're dead. The fate of NPCs are usually decided by either certain dialogue options chosen or specific actions undertaken by the player.

Only Playable Characters Can Be Revived

Playable characters are the only ones who can be resurrected in the game, meaning that only your personal character and the rest of your companions in your party can take advantage of Revivify Scrolls, Revivify Spells, or Withers.

Certain Story Scenarios Can Cause Permanent Companion Death

Throughout the main storyline of the game, you will be making some decisions that could potentially affect the outcome of your companions.

In some cases where a companion dies through a certain story arc, you will not be able to use the available methods to revive your fallen companion.
