How to Save Nadira

Climb Up the Hill Near the Emerald Grove Gate

Baldur

You can find Nadira on top of a hill near the gate in Emerald Grove. Cross the tree trunk that acts as a bridge to the east, right as you enter the gate. Follow the dirt path to find Nadira and the Bugbear Assassin.

Defeat the Bugbear Assassin

Baldur

The Bugbear Assassin will try to go for Nadira, so take care of it as quickly as you can. Nadira will try to run in a panic if the Bugbear Assassin gets too close.

Speak with Nadira to Get a Soul Coin

Baldur

After defeating the Bugbear Assassin, speak with Nadira to try and get the Soul Coin.

Nadira Dialogue
Let me guess: your devil mistress sent you to get her soul coin back. Too bad, I earned it fair and square.
Dialogue Options Dialogue Results
Coin? Mistress? You Lost me. Nadira continues probing with questions.
I've been to Avernus, but I'm no devil's servant. Nadira continues probing with questions.
That bugbear would have crushed your skull. This is the thanks I get? Nadira thanks you but is still reluctant to give you the Soul Coin.
[DECEPTION (DC5)] You got me. Hand the coin over and I'll be on my way. Success: Nadira hands over the Soul Coin.
Failure: Nadira refuses to give you the Soul Coin.
[PALADIN] The path I follow is far more noble - if you possess a devil's artefact, you should leave it in my charge. Nadira immediately hands over the Soul Coin without question.

Selecting the first two dialogue options in the previous dialogue will make Nadira apprehensive and ask you more questions. This will give you a chance to roll and get the Soul Coin with your PERSUASION or INTIMIDATION stat.

You wouldn't believe me if I told you. Returns to the choices below.
[PERSUASION (DC5)] A mind flayer abducted me, and its ship went straight to Avernus. Success: Nadira hands over the Soul Coin.
Failure: Nadira refuses to give you the Soul Coin.
[INTIMIDATION (DC10)] No, I don't. But that coin of yours is mine.

Selecting the third option of asking Nadira to be grateful gives you the option to roll for the Soul Coin with your INTIMIDATION stat at a lower Difficulty Class.

Now take my regards back to that pouting erinyes and leave me alone.

[INTIMIDATION (DC5)] How about this? You give me the coin. Now. Success: Nadira hands over the Soul Coin.

Should You Save Nadira?

Yes, for the Soul Coin and EXP

Baldur

Saving Nadira from the Bugbear Assassin will net you with a small amount of EXP and a Soul Coin. Soul Coins are used to power Infernal Engines later on in the game, and are quite rare.

This side quest is fairly short and will not distract you from your main quest for long. Quickly finish this side quest to claim your rewards and move on.
