Baldur

Bonus Actions are additional moves, spells, and abilities that you can perform during combat in Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3). Learn more about Bonus Actions, including a list of all Bonus Actions, and how to use them in-game!

What is a Bonus Action

Secondary Actions in Combat

Bonus Actions are class abilities and spells that you can do after performing your primary actions during your turn as a follow-up action in combat.

You can perform secondary resource moves such as jumping, hiding yourself around the battle arena, as well as cast out healing, hex, and protection spells.

Take note that you can only perform one Bonus Action per turn so be sure to think twice before selecting an action as you cannot cancel it after choosing one!

Conditions Must Be Met on Certain Bonus Actions

There are a few Bonus Actions that require you to meet certain conditions before being able to use them such as having some remaining movement speed for the turn or being rested enough to cast out a bonus action spell.

How to Use Bonus Actions

Accessible by Selecting the Orange Triangle Shape

Select the orange triangular shape at the bottom skill menu to open the Bonus Actions tab, then select the action that you wish to use.

Number of Bonus Actions Depends on Build

The number of triangle icons present on the tab indicates the amount of bonus actions a character can use during a turn. This amount is determined by class, race, abilities, and items of the character.
