    Totally agree. Don't sleep on Pact of the Tome. If only you could write ritual spells ( or names ) into it like in D&D it would be the best choice overall.

    Pact of the Tome is incredible at level 5. You get animate dead, call lightning, and haste. All castable once per long rest. Thornwhip is also great due to being able to yank something to you or into combat, or even down from a cliff. Saying it is a bad pick overall is not a good call.
