The Grumpy Bulb deviant has a chance to appear when harvesting Onions. It may take you multiple tries to get one so try to plant as many Onions as you can.

You can also try using the Growshroom deviant to accelerate the growth of your crops!

How to Get Onion Seeds

Once Human - Where to Buy Onion Seeds

Onion Seeds can be purchased from Emma Potter in the Tall Grass Inn. She can be found in the Sandwich Store at the peak of Tall Grass Inn.

Onion Seeds cost 1000 Energy Links and have a weekly limit of three. The only other way of getting Onion Seeds is through exploration.

To use Grumpy Bulb, you'll first need to place it in a Securement Unit. Try to fulfill its preferred environment to maximize its Power and Mood.

How to Get and Use Isolated Securement Unit

Sync Grumpy Bulb to Your Cradle

After placing Grumpy Bulb in a Securement Unit, you'll need to sync it to your Cradle in order to use it in combat. You can do so by interacting with the Securement Unit and pressing the F key.

Toss at Enemies to Make Them Attack Each Other

The Grumpy Bulb can be thrown at enemies to inflict a status effect that makes them attack each other. This is useful for taking heat off you and your allies during combat to give you room to heal up or reload.
