Lifemoth is a Harvesting resource node that does not require any tool to harvest. Simply walk up to the resource node and press the E key to gather and add it to your Inventory.
Lifemoths are magical creatures that appear in the form of a giant white moth. You can find them perched on top of a moss-covered dead tree.
You can find these creatures in forests, highlands, grasslands of of certain regions. See the section below to learn all the Lifemoth locations.

There are four locations in Everfall where Lifemoths can be harvested. Since all locations are within the immediate vicinity of the Settlement, we recommend camping a single spot and waiting for a Lifemoth Respawn.
There are five locations in Monarch's Bluff where Lifemoths can be harvested. We recommend farming them in the Divine Rise (north) area as this is an active PvE area. Camp the spot while others are preoccupied with the enemy Ancients in the area.
There is no easy way to farm Lifemoths in Ebonscale Reach. All of them will be scattered throughout the region, making farming routes lengthy and not at all practical. The areas to the east of the main settlement will be infested with crocodiles, making it hard to get in and out quickly when farming.
Additionally, the Imperial Palace to the southwest is an elite area that houses level 62+ Corrupted enemies. Discounting those two general areas, the rest of the marked locations should offer little to no trouble.
You can find Lifemoths in five areas in Restless Shore. These locations are inside landmarks so you may need to avoid enemies or defeat them first before harvesting the resource node.
There are only five Lifemoths to harvest in Great Cleave. Three of them will spawn in the small camps above the Cleave's Malice landmark, while two can be encountered on the path leading to the Slumbering Echoes.
Lifemoths can be farmed by first heading to the unnamed mountain between Hydanora and Knot Rust in Northern Edengrove. Once there, keep heading west as all the Lifemoth nodes spawn in this direction.
The table below shows the available resources that you can obtain from Lifemoth.

Life Motes are a type of raw material that you can use at an Arcane Repository to create life staves, health potions, and weapon coatings. These can also be refined at a Stonecutting Table alongside Diamonds and Onyx to create cut gemstones, or even used as crafting material for expedition items!
Lifemoth Eyes are a Life Reagent and a Medicinal Reagent. You can use them at an Arcane Repository as a crafting material to create health potions and weapon coatings.
