This is a guide on how to sell your items in New World. Read on to know how to sell items via the trading post, as well as how to sell items by trading with other players directly!
List of Contents
To sell your items in the Trading Post, head over to any of the settlements in Aeternum. Interact with the Trading Post to bring up the menu, then in the Sell Tab, select the item you want to sell under the My Sellable Items section, and it should bring up the Place Sell Order menu.
You can set the price, the quantity, and how long the order would go for your time. You will also need to pay the listing fee to put the item for sale. Once you've set all the details, you can go ahead and place the order.
If you change your mind about selling the item you want, go to the trading post, and you can cancel it in the My Orders tabs under Active Orders.
Be reminded that you will not receive any refund of the gold coin you paid for the listing fee.
Once your item is sold, your earnings will go straight to your inventory. If you want to make sure, you can also check it through the Trading Post under the My Orders tab.
If you want to sell your items directly to other players or don't want to pay the listing fee for putting up an item for sale in the trading post, you can advertise the item you want to sell in global chat and wait for a player to message you.
Once you have someone to sell your items to, set a location where you want to meet up as trading requires players to be no further than 10 meters away.
Press H
while looking at the player you want to trade with to bring up the Social Actions Menu, then select the Trade button to open up another menu for trading. Once you've confirmed all the details and checked all the items, lock the items, then trade them to finish your transaction.
Always make sure to check the prices inside the Trading Post of the item you are trying to sell to avoid having fewer gold coins to profit.
If you're trading your items directly to another player, make sure to confirm all the details you have agreed on before trying to trade to avoid getting swindled.
There are currently no vendors that players can sell items to in New World. The faction vendors located in each settlement only sell items or equipment for gold coins and faction tokens.
