New World Update 1.1.1: Patch Notes and Release Date

New World Update 1.1.1: Release Date and Summary

Released at 11 PM PT on November 30, 2021

New World released its seventh update at 11 PM PT on November 30, 2021 (7 AM UTC, Dec. 1). This patch fixes the issues regarding Furnishing duping, including re-enabling trading and salvaging of furnishings.

Additionally, missing Horticulture gear were reimbursed on top of a few gameplay changes to elemental farming and general bug fixes.

Patch Notes: General

Elemental Creatures Update

According to AGS, their original intention with these creatures was to make them challenging and infrequent encounters in the world. Listed below are the major changes to Elemental Creatures in Update 1.1.1.

• Fixed an issue causing a large number of motes to drop from elemental enemies.
• Removed elemental motes as rewards from gathering elemental creatures.
• Reduced the amount of other resources acquired from elemental creatures.
• Reduced the frequency at which elemental creatures respawn in the world.

Missing Horticulture Gear

Update 1.1 accidentally deleted any and all types of Horticulture Gear in the game. Players who have lost an acquired piece of Harvester Armor should have an extra Rewards Chest in their Inventory after this update.

• Reward Chests will contain a full set of Horticulturist armor provided at the highest Tier players have personally acquired in the past for any piece of the Harvester set.
• The set of Horticulturist Armor will roll with the maximum Gear Score for the tier received by the player.
• The Horticulturist Armor set will also be Bind on Equip and useable at any level to ensure that players can equip them.

Opening the Rewards Chest it will provide players with 5 items (a complete Harvester Set):

• Harvester Hat
• Harvester Shirt
• Harvester Gloves
• Harvester Pants
• Harvester Shoes

Housing and Furnishing

• Re-enabled trading, moving, and salvaging of furnishings/housing items.

Crafting

The general intention of the developers behind the Trade Skill XP changes in Update 1.1 was to push players to craft items they can use at their level rather than power-leveling using low tier items.The fix below addresses a bug with Jewel crafting XP.

• Fixed a bug where Jewel crafting recipes were not granting enough trade skill XP.

Trading

• Fixed an issue where players were not able to fill Buy Orders from local Storage Sheds.

Servers

• Technical groundwork for server merges.
• War performance enhancements.

Patch Notes: General Bug Fixes

• Void Gauntlet - Fix to Oblivion not going onto cooldown if player swapped weapons during skill startup
• Void Gauntlet - Fix to consumable status effects being cleansed by Oblivion
• Fixed an issue that was causing Jewelcrafting to not award appropriate amounts of XP for higher-tier crafts
• Fixed an issue preventing players from earning the Lumberjack achievement
