Lightning Beetles are magical creatures that appear in the form of a giant yellow beetle. You can find them perched on top of a moss-covered tree stump with its wings spread out.
You can find these creatures on mountainous areas across the regions. See the section below to learn all the Lightning Beetle locations.

Lightning Beetles can be found in the mountainous areas near the First Light Hamlet, First Light Watchtower, and Fort First Light.
You can find Lightning Beetles in the mountainous area east of Monarch's Bluff Hamlet and South of Monarch's Bluff Watchtower.
Lightning Beetles can be found in four general locations within Ebonscale Reach. For new level 50 players, it is recommended to farm the Mountain Temple area as the Corrupted enemies here are only levels 51-52.
The other three general locations with Lightning Beetles are the Air Shrine, the mountains around the Serenity Monastery, and the Imperial Palace elite area. When farming any of these locations, do note that Corrupted enemies will be extremely strong, with levels ranging from 57 to 60+.
There are only three locations in Restless Shore where you can find Lightning Beetles. The safest area is on the northern side, near Fangsnap's Den. The other two locations require you to pass through Fornax and Eridanus, two landmarks that contain Level 44+ enemies, to reach the resource nodes.
There are only a three locations in Great Cleave where you can find Lightning Beetles, and all of them will spawn next to Shockspires. The easiest area to farm them is in the small cliff area to the south of Cleave's Point Outpost.
There are a number of locations where Lightning Beetles can be found in Edengrove. However, do note that most of these areas are at different elevations, making it tricky to farm them with ease.
Most of the Lightning Beetles can be farmed by following the path from Twisted Roots, Sapterlith, and finally reaching the peak of Grasping Summit. This large winding area can be accessed by fast travelling to the Blighted Shrine spirit shrine.
There are only a few Lightning Beetle locations in Mourningdale. When farming these nodes, just note that while the southeastern location can be tracked, it seems impossible to farm. That particular node near Fomax will spawn on top of a huge rock that cannot be climbed.
