Starmetal Vein is a Mining resource node that requires the Pickaxe to harvest. With the tool equipped, walk up to the resource node and press the E key to gather and add it to your inventory.
Starmetal Vein is a rock that is covered with bright blue glowing veins. This is one of the easier veins to spot as it has a bright glow that can be spotted easily at night and even during the day.
You can find them in the highlands and are usually found on rocks. See the section below to learn all the Starmetal Vein locations.

Theres a small cluster in the spot farthest away from the Settlement. It will take longer to get to but you will be able to farm much more nodes.
There are a number of spread out nodes in Windsward. Your best bet is the nodes north-east of the Settlement, as there a quite a number of them near each other.
Everfall has a few nodes clustered to the north of the Settlement. The spots are nearby a Spirit Shrine you can use.
The two spots in in Monarch's Bluff is nearby the Settlement. Both of them giving a good amount. There is another cluster far south close to a Spirit Shrine you can use.
There are only four areas in Cutlass Keys that contain Starmetal Veins and are in landmarks filled with enemies.
The area southeast of the region near First Light's border contains no enemies but requires you to travel from the Spiti Ruins to reach the mountainous area leading to the Starmetal Veins.
While there are a lot of areas in Brightwood with Starmetal Veins, most places will have enemies patrolling them. The safest locations to farm will probably be Ironbend (northwest) and the waterfall beside Chancellor's Torment (just under Greyvale).
There is only one location in Weaver's Fen that contains Starmetal Veins. This is found at the South Vega Bridge, a landmark that contains Level 33 enemies. The area is also popular among players, so you may need to move around the landmark and mine the resource node.
There are plenty of areas in Restless Shore where you can mine Starmetal Veins. The safest locations are the rocky terrain surrounding Boarsholm and Fangsnap's Den. Be sure to unlock the Shrine of Sisyphos to easily access these areas.
There are many locations where Starmetal Veins spawn in New World. A lot of veins will spawn on the cliff edges of Dead Fool's Pass but these might be farmed during peak hours when level 60s are doing elite runs in the area.
Alternatively, players can farm the cliffs that surround Acedia Bastion and Capitulum Prime. These veins might be ignored as they are out of the way and usually entail a bit of climbing and navigating to farm. There are also a few nodes on the northern road leading to Shattered Mountain if everywhere else is farmed.
While there are a lot of Starmetal Ore Veins in Mourningdale, they are a bit tricky to farm in a single route due to elevation and spawn distance. Coupled with double northern spirit shrines, routing Starmetal farming will be tedious.
The easiest places to farm Starmetal are Foulroot and Ceremony to the northwest. Easily accessible via the Ram's Respite spirit shrine, these locations are prime for making a quick farming trip. Just note that enemies here are level 49-50.
