How to Use Bait

Bait is used for Fishing and it increases the chance of catching bigger fish. While in Fishing Mode, press the R key to equip the selected bait.

How to Get Bait

Pick Up from Bushes

Some bait such as the Woodlouse Bait can be picked up from bushes.

Craft at the Cooking Station

Other types of bait can be crafted from the Kitchen in a settlement. Doing so raises your Cooking trade skill.

Buy from the Trading Post

If you don't have the resources needed to craft the bait, you can buy one from the Trading Post. Note that you need to check the market from the Trading Post screen to see which areas sell the materials.
