Iron Ore Vein: Locations and Maps

Iron Vein is a Mining resource node that requires the Pickaxe to harvest. With the tool equipped, walk up to the resource node and press the E key to gather and add it to your inventory.

Iron Vein Locations

Iron Veins are dark rocks that have brown veins that cover it. It can be distinguished from other veins with its brownish tint.

You can find them in the highlands and are usually found on rocks. See the section below to learn all the Iron Vein locations.

First Light Iron Vein Locations

There are a ton of Iron Veins in every starting region, but this is one of the best ones with a large cluster in the upper left. You can start south near the Settlement and then head north, then east.

Windsward Iron Vein Locations

There are quiet a number of Iron Veins near the Settlement, and a cluster south of the shrine.

Everfall Iron Vein Locations

Everfall has clusters of the Iron Veins surrounding the Settlement. You can start east or west of the Settlement and then head north then u-turn at the highest point and head back to the Settlement, depositing your ores when you get back and start the cycle again.

Monarch's Bluffs Iron Vein Locations

One of the richest Iron Vein locations which a large cluster, with half of it being near the settlement and the other half being closer to a shrine.

Cutlass Keys Iron Vein Locations

There are plenty of Iron Veins that can be harvested in Cutlass Keys. We recommend farming for the Iron Ores at the rightmost area of the region as the nodes are close to each other and near the settlement.

Brightwood Iron Vein Locations

There are only a few locations with Iron Veins in Brightwood. The easiest to farm would be the ones south of "The Eldritch" (southeast) as the veins here spawn close together without any enemies nearby.

Exercise caution when farming the hostile areas like Corlew's Mine and Brightwood Isle. The latter is an elite area and can only be explored when in a group.

Weaver's Fen Iron Vein Locations

Weaver's Fen has plenty of locations where you can find Iron Veins. We recommend the areas west of the region's settlement as these do not have any enemies nearby.

Another alternate location is the areas north of the settlement near Mallory's Refuge spirit shrine. These have Iron Veins close to each other, although you may need to fend off some enemies while harvesting the resource nodes.

Ebonscale Reach Iron Vein Locations

All of the Iron Veins in Ebonscale Reach will be found in the northern area of the region. While plenty and usually uncontested by players due to how far they are from the settlement, these locations will be patrolled by level 58+ wolves and corrupted enemies.

It is recommended to farm the northernmost cluster of Iron Veins as this is the safest out of all the marked areas. The ones nearer to the middle of the map will sometimes be too close to Corrupted Breaches to farm safely.

Restless Shore Iron Vein Locations

You can find Iron Veins in the northern and central areas of Restless Shore. It is recommended to unlock the Shrine of Sisphos to easily access the northern area and mine the resource nodes.

You can also find a number of Iron Veins in the central area, although this requires traveling to Eridanus, a landmark that contains Level 46 elite enemies.

Edengrove Iron Vein Locations

There are only a few Iron Vein locations in Edengrove and most of them can be found as you enter or leave the region. Taking the route from the Gelida Pillars in Great Cleave down to the Crescent Window in Edengrove will bring you through three Iron Vein locations.

Alternatively, fast travelling to the Gatherer's Road spirit shrine in the north will give you access to 8 iron veins. However, do exercise caution in this area as it is patrolled by level 57 Angry Earth enemies.

Mourningdale Iron Vein Locations

There are plenty of Iron Veins in Mourningdale. With it being a high-level area, competition is scarce when farming nodes as most players are busy either questing or gathering much higher level materials like Starmetal and Orichalcum.

The best places to farm iron would be the areas near and around Foulroot. You can easily access them via the Ram's Respite spirit shrine. For low level players (new 45+), the cliffs east of Mourningdale Town and the large wooded area to the southwest are easier to farm.
