The land of Aeternum is vast and, going from one place to another on foot will cost much of your time. Luckily, there are 3 different methods which you can use to fast travel around Aeternum in New World:
New World's Fast Travel Methods |
---|
To recall back to an inn, simply open your world map by pressing the M key, then hover your mouse over to an inn inside a settlement. Make sure you've checked in at that inn or, you won't have the option to do so.
To check-in, simply walk into a local inn and talk to the innkeeper, then select Guest Registration. Recalling to an inn is free but has a 1-hour cooldown before you can use it again.
To Fast Travel, simply open your world map by pressing the M Key then, hover your mouse over to any spirit shrine and choose the option to fast travel. Keep in mind that you can only fast travel to Spirit Shrines you have already discovered and if you're within an outpost or settlement.
This method has no cooldown but, you will need Azoth to use this form of travel. You can get from Azoth quest rewards or beating certain enemies.
The amount of Azoth you need to spend to fast travel will depend on a few factors.
Spirit Shrine Pricing | |
---|---|
Base Cost | 50 Azoth |
Distance Cost | No Distance Cost if within 2 kilometers 5 Azoth per 100 meters over 2 kilometers |
Encumbrance Cost | 4 Azoth per 10 weight |
The price will also be dependent on Faction and Company discounts, but these can vary greatly.
The last method of fast traveling is through buying a house in a settlement. You can own up to 3 different homes across Aeternum, acting as a travel point you can recall into, much like an inn.
The only downside is that its cooldown is twice as long, compared to the inn, and buying one requires a lot of gold and a territory standing of at least 10 or higher.
You can choose to level up your house in order to reduce the cooldown time for fast traveling.
House Tier | Fast Travel Cooldown Time |
---|---|
1 | 4 Hours |
2 | 3 Hours |
3 | 2.5 Hours |
4 | 2 Hours |
