As of New World's release, there is no official support for addons and mods yet in the game. Changing the UI is only possible using the game's default settings.

New World fans and players have been vocal about their feedback regarding on implementing features such as mounts.

On October 20, 2021, the New World community manager has addressed in the official forums that addons are currently in discussion. In particular they may offer including the Overwolf New World Mini-Map as an addon in the game.
