A build focused fully on bolstering the Hatchet's DPS and survivability. The Lifestaff's focus is to provide buffs and extra regeneration while you're fighting in Berserk State and to restore your HP to mid-high levels after exhausting your gas (Berserk and Defy Death). The extra healing on critical HP targets makes the Hatchet's Defy Death invulnerability perfect for massive bursts of healing in a short amount of time.
As for the Hatchet, not much goes aside from screaming and charging at your enemy. But aside from charging wildly, don't forget to use Rending Throw to apply an armor debuff to your target for a slight increase in DPS.

Your main luring tool and single target DPS tool will be the Hatchet. Your DPS is strong from Raging Torrent and Berserk combined. You are also running several passive damage buffs from the Hatchet which makes your standard attacks hit harder.
Once in the red or if enemies are escaping, the Great Axe's Reap and Execute are your best options. Reap can pull targets back to you and Execute deals massive damage when they are on critical HP. With the Reaper Tree, the Great Axe will also sustain you so don't be afraid to slot in more damage to this build as it also increases your build's durability.

The Hatchet / Sword and Shield Berserker DPS Build is a DPS PvE build all about fast damage. You stick close to the tank, who will keep the enemies in check, while you dish out mad damage from the side.
The passive skills from the Swordmaster and Berserker are geared to maximize crit chance, damage, and speed, making for deadly swings.
This build is unforgiving as it deals a lot of damage and its skills can either cover a lot of distance (Leaping Strike and Feral Rush), deal AoE damage (Whirling Blade) or increase attack and movement speed (Berserk and On the Hunt), or just deal a ton of damage in one go (Reverse Stab and Raging Torrent)

This build focuses on locking down your opponents using the Void Gauntlet to cover for Hatchet's weakness of getting close to an opponent.
Using Void Gauntlet's Baleful Tether to tether your opponent or Petrifying Scream to root your opponents will make sure that you won't have as much trouble getting in with your Hatchet. Although the damage will not be as ideal when using a full-strength build for Hatchet, Void Gauntlet is a good support weapon that will surely let your other team go for the kill as long as you land your CC perfectly.
Hatchet's Defy Death or the self-sustainability you get using Berserk also helps you survive attacks. This will help you tank and mitigate damage from making mistakes when chasing down opponents or approaching ranged weapons.

This build is recommended for players who just want to go in and fight their opponents. Both weapons scale off of Strength, which makes it easier to allocate your stats and maximize the damage output.
This build is good for taking down single targets and groups of enemies. On top of the insane damage you can do to your enemies, the self-sustain of Hatchet's Berserk, coupled with its Defy Death and the life steal you get from Great Axe's Reap. This makes it hard for you to die even if you charge headlong towards groups of enemies.
It's also easy to level these weapons up, as most of the time, you'll be pulling large mobs towards you using Great Axe's Maelstrom and Gravity well. If you're starting out with this build, make sure to ease on the aggression until you get Defy Death later on. Otherwise, you will die quickly pulling mobs if you aren't very careful.
