This is a guide to getting the Azoth Staff in New World. To learn how to get and upgrade the Azoth Staff, read on!
List of Contents
The Azoth Staff is a key item necessary for closing Corruption Breaches in New World. Players will need this tool before they can fully experience Aeternum's various PvE events.
To get started on acquiring the Azoth Staff, players will need to complete the Soulwarden Questline. The questline will officially start when you acquire the quest to meet the fisherman hermit, Yonas Alazar.
It is recommended that players first explore the surrounding regions of Everfall as the Azoth Staff Questline will require you to travel to a lot of different locations. Unlock Spirit Shrines and visit Settlements to make travel less painful!
The quest to assemble the Azoth Staff will be available once players reach level 20. If you find yourself below the required level, consider doing the many sidequests and faction quests available in Everfall.
Alternatively, players can focus on crafting, gathering, refining, and exploring for EXP. This is also a good way to get familiar with the vast swaths of land Aeternum has to offer!
These are the key quests leading up to the Level 20 quest, Forge Your Azoth Staff. Complete the Into the Breaches quest right after to get some experience with closing Corrupted Breaches.
Plans of the Pestilent | Acquire the Angry Earth Seed from Adiana Theron's questline (this is the last quest of the chain). The component is essential to building your Azoth Staff. |
---|---|
Argent and Aether | Return to Yonas Alazar. He will tell you to retrieve Silver and forge the pieces of your Azoth Staff at the Amrine Temple near Windsward. |
Forge Your Azoth Staff | With parts secured, return to Alazar then head back to Everfall. Assemble your Azoth Staff at the Sacred Altar inside the nearby Shattered Obelisk. |
Into the Breaches | Try out your new Azoth Staff on the nearby corrupted area, Harplass Homestead. After this quest, you are free to cleanse the different Corrupted Breaches on the map. |
Quests that let you upgrade your Azoth Staff to higher tiers will be gated by levels! Continue leveling up to unlock the quests in succession. Azoth Staff tier upgrade quests will appear at levels 30 and 40.
Additionally, players will need to progress the Main Questline in order to keep doing the Azoth Staff tier upgrade quests. Make sure to keep up with main quests to ensure that you get the Azoth Staff quests once you hit 30 and 40.
