This is a guide on how to join a Faction Company in New World! Read on to learn the steps to creating your own Faction Company and joining a different Faction Company.

Create a Faction Company From the Menu

How to Create a Company
Hit the Esc button to bring up the menu, and click on Company on the top left. Then, click on Create Company.

This will bring up a menu where you can customize your Company Crest, Faction Pattern Design, and Company Name.
Note: You can only register a name that hasn't been taken and doesn't go against New World's policies. Once you have a good name, click Create Company.

How to Create a Company
Congrats, you have your own faction! Now, whenever you bring up the Company menu, you will be able to see an Overview of your Company, its online members, your Treasury, and other stats.
Note: If you wish to disband your company, you can do so by clicking on Leave Company.

How to Invite People To Your Faction Company

Invite Them Through the Faction Company Menu

Add People

In the Company menu, click on Send Company Invite, type in the username of the person you wish to invite, and click on Invite to Company.

Note: You can't invite people who are not from your Faction or people who still have not chosen a Faction.

Invite Them Through the Social Menu

You can point at a player and press H to open the Social Menu, where you can invite them to your Company.

Note: You can't invite people who are not from your Faction or people who still have not chosen a Faction.

How to Join a Faction Company

Apply in the Recruitment Chat

How to Join

Hit Enter to bring up the chat box and select the yellow icon on the toolbar, labeled Recruitment. Here, you will find people who are either recruiting for their Company, or people who are looking to be recruited.

Once you see a Company you like, send the person a Direct Message by hovering over their name, or send a chat into Recruitment asking if anyone's willing to recruit you.

Only Upper Ranking Faction Company Members can Add You

Invited to a Company

The only way to become part of a Company is if an Officer-Rank or Above personally sends you an Invite.

It'll be much easier if a friend you know already has a Company and can invite you. Otherwise, you will have to rely on the Recruitment chatbox to look for a good guild.

What are Faction Companies?

Get Added by a Company Leader
Companies function similarly to Guilds in other games. A Company is created by a Leader (Governor) and can have up to 100 members.

A Company can claim Settlements and go to War with other Companies to gain control over the Settlements. This allows the controlling Company to earn income from players who use the Settlement's services.
