Is Rifleman Worth It?

Good for Rifle or Sniper Builds

Rifleman increases your damage and adds a penetration bonus using a non-automatic rifle, including scoped ones. It is one of the best perks for players aiming to build a kit focusing on a non-automatic rifles.

Rank Required Lvl. Description
Rank 1 - Attacks with nonautomatic rifles do 20 percent more damage.
Rank 2 9 Attacks with nonautomatic rifles now do 40 percent more damage and ignore 15 percent of a target's armor.
Rank 3 18 Attacks with nonautomatic rifles now do 60 percent more damage and ignore 20 percent of a target's armor.
Rank 4 31 Attacks with nonautomatic rifles now do 80 percent more damage and ignore 25 percent of a target's armor. They also have a slight chance of crippling a limb.
Rank 5 46 Attacks with nonautomatic rifles now do double damage and ignore 30 percent of a target's armor. They also have a slightly higher chance of crippling a limb.

How to Get Rifleman

Unlock Rifleman at Perception 2

Fallout 4 Rifleman Perk
Rifleman is on Perception Level 2

The Rifleman perk is unlocked when your Perception is at Level 2. You can start at this level by assigning 2 points to Perception during the Registration Form at the start of the game. Otherwise, you can get to this level by collecting SPECIAL magazines or bobbleheads and spending perk points upon level up.

After getting to Perception 2, you're free to spend perk points on ranking up the skill, as long as you are at the required character level to rank up.
