Ranking up Demolition Expert up to two levels is worth it, as it allows you to craft explosives and see the throwing arc of grenades aside from the bonus damage. Also, the bonus damage affects not only grenades but also weapons with explosive capabilities.

You can still try leveling up the perk up to Rank 4 to increase the damage of the explosives even further!

How to Get Demolition Expert

Unlock Demolition Expert at Perception 5

Demolition Expert is on Perception Level 5

The Demolition Expert perk is unlocked when your Perception is at Level 5. You can start at this level by assigning 5 points to Perception during the Registration Form at the start of the game. Otherwise, you can get to this level by collecting SPECIAL magazines or bobbleheads and spending perk points upon level up.

After getting to Perception 5, you're free to spend perk points on ranking up the skill, as long as you are at the required character level to rank up.
