Is Awareness Worth It?

Good for Checking Out Enemy Resistances

Awareness is good to have in the early game, as it will let you know the enemies' damage resistances and prepare for them. It will not be as helpful in the endgame as you will surely know what your enemies' resistance is by then.

Spending a point on this perk is still worthwhile, as you can unlock it early in the game with just one perk point!

How to Get Awareness

Unlock Awareness at Perception 3

Awareness is on Perception Level 3

The Awareness perk is unlocked when your Perception is at Level 3. You can start at this level by assigning 3 points to Perception during the Registration Form at the start of the game. Otherwise, you can get to this level by collecting SPECIAL magazines or bobbleheads and spending perk points upon level up.

After getting to Perception 3, you're free to spend perk points on ranking up the skill, as long as you are at the required character level to rank up.
