Baldur
Players can farm gold fast by selling unused items and pickpocketing NPCs in Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3). Read on to learn how to farm gold quickly, all the ways of farming gold, and the best items and loot to sell!

How to Farm Gold Fast

Sell Loot, Items, and Equipment

Baldur

Add to Wares marks all the items you plan to sell in the future!

Players will encounter multiple loot, items (like books and cutlery), and equipment that they won't use as they explore various locations. Instead of these unused items taking up space in your inventory, consider adding them to wares and selling them in bulk as they can be worth more than they weigh.

What Does Add to Wares Do

Sell Pickpocketed Items from NPCs

Baldur
Taking items from NPCs via stealing and pickpocketing is also a viable option to collect goods to be sold for gold.

However, do note that you can get caught for stealing, so be sure that you have the appropriate Ability Scores and Dexterity stat to increase the success rate of stealing.

All Unused Armor and Weapons

Baldur
Exploring the world of Baldur's Gate 3 entails having to defeat multiple enemies that you come across, most of which having gear that's possibly of no use to you.

Should their loot, weapons, armor, and accessories be weaker than what you currently have, then you're better off just selling it for extra gold.

Ingots

Ingot Type Price
Bronze Ingot 20g
Silver Ingot 50g
Gold Ingot 100g

Ingots are typically found in chests as you explore the world of Baldur's Gate 3. They're fairly common and are found in three types: Bronze, Silver, and Gold - all of which having increasing value respectively.

Quest-Related Items You Don't Plan on Completing

Infernal Iron Shattered Sanctum

Quest-related items can be sold if you don't plan on completing the quests anyway as it will just take up space in your inventory if unused. Only consider this option if you're sure you don't want to complete the quest the item is tied to in order to prevent yourself from being locked out to certain quests.

An example of quest-related items are Soul Coins and Infernal Iron, both of which are items tied to Karlach's questline.

Gemstones and Jewels

Selling gemstones and jewels is an easy way to make money and is recommended to be sold if they're not enchanted. Gemstones and jewels that aren't enchanted won't provide any buffs to the player and will just take up space in your inventory.
