How to Access Guardian of Faith Room (Rosymorn Monastery)

How to Access Guardian of Faith Room

Where to Find Guardain of Faith Room

Found in the Rosymorn Monastery

You can get to the Rosymorn Monastery after gaining access to the Mountain Pass. Under lies the Creche Yllek, but the monastery holds secrets on its upper floors. Do spend the time to explore this place!

The Guardian of Faith Room can be found at the second floor of the Monastery, and is located right across the end of the hallway with the room full of Gremishkas.

Upon inspecting the room entrance, you will notice that the door is enchanted and also barricaded with beds. You will have to go around through the open window that can be found at the room with the Dawnmaster's Crest.

How to Beat Gremishkas

Use the Dawnmaster Room Window

Backtrack to the middle of the hallway and then head over to the Dawnmaster Crest room nearby (that has a circular stained glass at the center). Look to the right to see an open window you can jump through. Use your Jump skill to get into the window.

Once outside, navigate across the broken path and do look out for another broken window leading into the Guardian of Faith room. Simply jump through this window to finally be inside the room.

How to Beat Guardian of Faith

Use Ranged Attacks

The above are some examples of moves that you can use to defeat the Guardian of Faith.

The center of the room is protected by a permanent Guardian of Faith. While you can beat it directly through pure melee, there is a safer way to defeat the Guardian.

The Guardian of Faith will never move, and will also never attack anyone outside its ring, so feel free to use ranged attacks, cantrips, or ranged spells to defeat it.

Watch out for Strike of the Guardian, where anyone going near it (specifically inside its ring) will be attacked. It also reacts to attacks with its own after a miss.

Use Kobols

Alternatively, you can distract it with enemies. The Guardian of Faith loses health according to the amount of damage it deals.

If the Firewine Barrels in the kobol room at the lower floor have not all been destroyed, look for ones that make a sound and pick them up. Inside the Guardian Room, set the barrels near the Guardian of Faith and then position your party outside of the window.

Destroying one of these barrels will reveal a kobol inside them. Trigger combat with the Guardian of Faith from a distance by destroying one of the Firewine Barrels, then let it and the kobols fight.

Ceremonial Battleaxe

At the foot of the Guardian of Faith is a Ceremonial Battleaxe, which is one of the ceremonial weapons in Rosymorn Monastery that are used to complete the Dawnmaster puzzle for obtaining the Blood of Lathander.

You can find the Last Notes of a Monk, detailing the events that happened in room and with the Guardian of Faith, at a skeleton slumping on the broken cabinet at the side room.
