How to Beat Gremishkas in Rosymorn Monastery

How to Beat Gremishkas

Finding the Gremiskhas

Enter from Outside the Monastery

You can get to the Rosymorn Monastery after gaining access to the Mountain Pass. Under lies the Creche Yllek, but the monastery holds secrets on its upper floors. Do spend the time to explore this place!

The Gremishka room can be accessed from the outside by climbing the knotted roots beside the Ancient Sigil Circle waypoint near the monestary. Move along the cliff and then destroy the wooden barrier.

When you are at the monastery's entrance, check the left side for any open windows and jump in. You will encounter a drunk kobold, which you can kill with ease.

The next room is full of kobolds. You can either defeat them all or sneak pass them. At the end of the room should be an opening that shows a cliffside you can use to climb and reach the second floor, where the Gremishka room should be nearby.

Fighting the Gremishkas

Gremishkas are Allergic to Magic

Gremishkas look mostly harmless at first, but they are traps for unsuspecting close-range magic users.

These creatures have the Magic Allergy condition. Using spells near them, including healing spells, will cause them to trigger an Unstable condition, leading to a random effect the next turn.

When casting magic on them, it is best to stand a good distance away. Long-range spells like the Magic Missile are good choices in this fight due to its long range.

Use Physical Attacks to Defeat Them

Since magic can potentially make these enemies stronger, the preferred strategy to defeating them is by using physical attacks.

Fighters, like Lae'zel, with the Sentinel and Riposte feats will work well when many of the Gremishkas are focused on them.

Gremishkas Can Turn Invisible

Gremishkas are capable of turning invisible. This can make the fight significantly difficult, and even more so when they polymorph into a panther.

If you accidentally transformed a Gremishka into its matured form, the Volo Ersatz Eye or See Invisibility to keep them revealed for your party.

Gremishka Room Rewards

Gremishka Tail for Wizardsbane Oil

Looting a body of the Gremishka will net you a Gremishka Tail that can be used to make Wizardsbane Oil.

This oil coats a weapon, and on strike gives a target Concentration Disadvantage and a penalty for Spell-based Attack Rolls for two turns.

Inside the Gremishka room, there is a locked door nearby which you can lockpick to gain access to an opulent chess for rare items, and a platform you can jump on to climb to the third floor of monastery.
