How to Start the Cure the Poisoned Gnome

Follow the Find the Missing Boots Questline

You can start this quest by following the Find the Boots questline. The Find the Boots quest will become available after talking to the Duergar intruders in Decrepit Village in the Underdark. The Find the Boots quest will eventually lead you to Thulla, the poisoned gnome you are to cure!

Talk to Thulla in Myconid Colony

You can go to Myconid Colony in the northern part of the Underdark to talk to Thulla and start this quest. You can find Thulla near Sovereign Spaw in the central part of Myconid Colony.

How to Complete the Cure the Poisoned Gnome Quest

Talk to Thulla and Cure Her

Talk to Thulla lying on the ground near Soverign Spaw, the Myconid Monarch. You can start taking measures to cure her of the dialogue choices. Curing Thulla will provide a few updates on your Journal, as well as get the Save the Grymforge Gnomes quest.

You won't be able to take the reward, Boots of Speed, if you kill her unless you pickpocket her corpse. However, Sovereign Spaw will become aggressive if you kill her and try to loot her body. You can avoid combat through Skill Checks (all choices have DC15) or take the initiative and kill everyone in the colony.

Dialogue Choices and Consequences

• Investigate the Poison - You need to pass a Medicine Check (DC15) to investigate the poison. It won't cure her, but you'll confirm that you can use a normal Antidote or Antitoxin to cure her.
• Give her an Antidote, Antitoxin, or Cure from Gekh - Choosing one of these options will immediately cure Thulla even if you don't know the origin and strength of the poison. You can get the cure from Gekh during the Defeat the Duergar Intruders quest, while an Antidote and Antitoxin are commonly found in houses, villages, and traders!
• End her life - Pass a Persuasion Check (DC15) to get this option. You will receive 10 EXP for killing her but cause every Myconid resident to attack you. You can talk your way out to avoid combat, but every Skill Check to prevent it have DC15.
