Find the Missing Shipment is a side quest in Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3). Read on for a detailed walkthrough of Find the Missing Shipment, as well as the rewards that you can get from completing this side quest!

| How to Find the Missing Shipment |

To find the missing shipment, you can either go straight to the cave on the northern area of the Risen Road where the Gnolls are gathered up, or pick up the Shipment Orders note from one of the dead caravan crew members to the south.
The latter is optional as it only mentions delivery instructions for the shipment and doesn't exactly tell you where to go.
Once you arrive at the cave, defeat all the Gnolls surrounding the area. You'll be going up against a handful of them, including a Gnoll Warlord called Flind.
After rescuing Rugan and Olly, you'll have to go through a few dialogue checks to take the shipment for yourself.
At first they'll show their gratitude for rescuing them and will offer the password to their hideout.

If you chose to prolong the conversation to ask them about what's inside the cargo, they won't reveal what's inside it, only the payment they'll receive for delivering it.

At this point, Rugan will lose his patience and will give you a final chance to walk away.

If you succeed in any of the Intimidation checks, you'll find Rugan and Olly at the hideout being tortured by their former companions.
During the battle, Flind will approach you and using your tadpole powers, you can convince him to attack the couriers instead after a successful Wisdom check.
Opening the shipment contains a mysterious Iron Flask and upon examining it through an Arcana check, you'll realize that it's a magical artifact that holds something menacing inside.
If you decide to open the flask, a powerful Spectator will emerge from it. It is possible to defeat it but it won't be dropping anything useful.
What to Do With the Iron Flask
Returning the shipment to Zarys at the Zhentarim Hideout in Waukeen's Rest will reward you with Harold, a unique crossbow with a +1 weapon enhancement on it.
In addition, you'll be given access to improved stock at the merchant in the hideout.
If you opened the shipment before returning it to Zarys, the whole Zhentarim hideout will become hostile to you and you'll have to fight your way out.
They won't really put up much of a fight and you can farm some easy EXP and gold from them.

During the battle against the gnolls, Astarion was able to lockpick and loot the chest without them going hostile. When I went to the hideout, the gang was only hostile if I offered to give Zarya the flask. They had Rugan tied to a chair beating him up for losing it, though.
