| The desserts of Jedha are cold and inhospitable, so the hardshell has developed ways to keep protected. As the name suggests, the creatures often develop a tough outer shell - not to gain reprieve from the elements, but as defense against predators. Although not every hardshell actually develops this carapace, the local name has stuck. The thick shell ca be removed with relative ease, but the creatures are entirely vulnerable without it. Though usually dispatched quickly, they nevertheless will swipe and spit at any entity they deem a threat. | |||
