Good for Saving Money

You can save more Caps or money with the Cap Collector perk, as it gives you a discount when buying or selling goods with vendors. You can unlock and benefit from the first two ranks of this perk early in the game.

Rank 2 20 Buying and selling prices at vendors are now much better.
Rank 3 41 You can now invest a total of 500 Caps to raise a store’s buying capacity.

How to Get Cap Collector

Unlock Cap Collector at Charisma 1

Fallout 4 Cap Collector Perk
Cap Collector is on Charisma Level 1

The Cap Collector perk is unlocked when your Charisma is at Level 1. You can start at this level by assigning 1 point to Charisma during the Registration Form at the start of the game. Otherwise, you can get to this level by collecting SPECIAL magazines or bobbleheads and spending perk points upon level up.

After getting to Charisma 1, you're free to spend perk points on ranking up the skill, as long as you are at the required character level to rank up.
