Is Armorer Worth It?

Only in Mid to Late Game

Armorer is only worth it once you have enough crafting materials in mid to late game. You can hold off on modifying armor at the beginning, as enemies are not that tough in early game and more powerful foes will only start showing up at the latter stages of the game.

How to Get Armorer

Unlock Armorer at Strength 3

Armorer is on Strength Level 3

The Armorer perk is unlocked when your Strength is at Level 3. You can start at this level by assigning 3 points to Strength during the Registration Form at the start of the game. Otherwise, you can get to this level by collecting SPECIAL magazines or bobbleheads and spending perk points upon level up.

After getting to Strength 3, you're free to spend perk points on ranking up the skill, as long as you are at the required character level to rank up.
