This is a walkthrough for the Rush the Gate mission in Borderlands 4. Follow this guide to find out how to sabotage Sol's airship and defeat the boss Idolator Sol.

| 1 | Check on Rush in the bunker of Outbounders HQ. |
| 2 | ![]() Go to the marked location on the map to defend the Outbounders. Kill the enemies. |
| 3 | ![]() Salvage the Locust missiles from the remains of Sol’s airship. Look up and use your grappling hook to pull the missile down. |
| 4 | ![]() Rendezvous with the Outbounders at Idolator’s Noose in front of the Fortress Indomita. You may fast travel there via the Someday Rise or Wyclef’s Reprieve Safehouses if they have been captured. |
| 5 | ![]() Join with Rush and advance toward Sol’s fortress while killing Order forces in the way. |
| 6 | ![]() At the entrance, destroy the bio-armored door with a Locust canister. Take a canister from one of the dispensers on the back of the truck. |
| 7 | Kill the fortress defenders inside. |
| 8 | ![]() With the defenders eliminated, activate the elevator to head up with Rush and the salvaged Locust missile. At the top, kill more fortress defenders with Rush. |
| 9 | ![]() From a safe distance, wait for Rush to detonate the missile to destroy the entrance to the Fortress Indomita. Enter the fortress. |

| 2 | ![]() With the number of Order forces diminished, find the airship hangar. Take the path now cleared of the yellow barrier. Kill more Order forces on the path to the hangar. Take advantage of the terrain to deflect Corrosion attacks from Bulkheads and Pinheads. |
| 3 | ![]() Pass through the next entrance to find the hangar. Head down the steps to approach the airship. Kill Order forces at the bottom. Then, find the console to activate the refeuling platform. |
| 4 | ![]() Go to the console and flip the switch to activate the refueling platform. |
| 5 | ![]() Look ahead of the console to find a ledge to climb with your grappling hook. Find and remove three docking clamps from the airship. |
| 6 | ![]() Immediately after climbing the platform, you will find the first docking clamp above you. |
| 7 | ![]() ![]() Next, use your grappling hook to reach the upper platform. Look up again to find and remove the second docking clamp. |
| 8 | ![]() ![]() Jump to the platform on the other side. Run ahead and turn left on the path. Look up to remove the third docking platform. |
| 9 | ![]() ![]() Glide over to the platform and run ahead before turning right, past a door. Head to the console at the center and press the button to be lifted up. |
| 10 | Kill Order forces guarding the way to Idolator Sol. |
| 11 | ![]() ![]() Run up ahead until you reach a dim, yellow-lit room. Take the stairs or use your grappling hook to go up. You will find a respawn area with Vending Machines. Once ready, drop down into the hole to fight the boss Idolator Sol. |

| 1 | ![]() ![]() Phase 1: You will notice that Idolator Sol is immune to damage because of his bio-armored body. To get rid of the armor, wait for Idolator Sol to perform a ranged attack where a Locust canister will detonate. Grab it with your grappling hook and throw it at Idolator Sol to disable his bio-armored shield. Shoot the fleshy part of his body struck by the canister to deal damage. You will also see green lumps on Idolator Sol's body. Shoot these exposed lumps to deal extra damage. |
| 2 | ![]() ![]() Phase 2: After depleting his first health bar, Idolator Sol will begin using more complex attacks in his second phase by detonating and spreading Locust in the arena. Dodge out of the way of attacks that deal AoE Locust damage. Continue waiting for his attack that drops a Locust canister for you to throw at him. |
| * | ![]() Idolator Sol will reactivate his armor by seizing an enemy in the arena. You can delay his armor reactivation by killing the enemy beforehand. |
| 3 | ![]() After defeating Idolator Sol, take his bolt and return to Outbounders HQ to reunite with Rush and the other Outbounders. |
