How to Get King's Gambit

Chance Drop from Vile Prototype

The King's Gambit has a chance to drop from Vile Prototype who is located in Lictor's Black Site at Windspear, Terminus Range.

The Vile Prototype is first encountered on main mission, Dark Subject and can be fought again by paying Moxxi's Big Encore Machine which can be found near the boss' area.

Has a Chance to Drop from Legendary Loot Sources

Red Chests

Aside from farming Vile Prototype, King's Gambit also has a small chance of dropping from regular legendary loot sources like red chests, golden key chests, and other bosses. You can speed up your legendary farming by using a boss farm or endgame build for your Vault Hunter.
