Store and transfer gear and weapons between characters in Borderlands 4 by using the Bank of Kairos vending machine. Learn how to store and trade items between characters and how to increase your bank slots by reading below!

Deposit Items in a Bank

Deposit Items in Bank of Kairos

You can store gear and weapons in the Bank of Kairos. Any items stored here can be accessed by other characters in your account.

Deposit to Bank from Backpack

Inventory Bank Mark

Items can also be deposited in the bank from the inventory screen. To do so, go to the Backpack and Mark the item you want to send to the Bank. Afterward, hold the Left Stick (for Xbox and PS5) or V Key (for PC) to Send Items to the Bank.

Bank of Kairos in The Launchpad

You can unlock a Bank during the Down and Outbound mission, the third main mission. It will be in the room next to where the Respec Machine, Golden Key Chest, and Lost Loot Chest is.

This also means your character can access any gear your other characters have stored there, after visiting that area in the mission.

Use Tags to Sort Stored Items

In the menu of the Banks, you can mark a selected item as Favorite, Junk, or with a colored tag according to the Tag Group. In the Deposit menu, you can also mark an item to remind yourself to add in the Bank.

Use these tags to sort out any gear you want to use for new characters, endgame, or specific bosses!

Spend SDU Tokens in SDU Menu

You can increase the amount of bank slots you have by spending SDU tokens in the SDU menu. The price will increase every time you buy slots. SDU tokens are obtained as you progress and complete missions, as well as obtain collectibles out in the world.
