This is a walkthrough for the Returned to the Mountain side mission in Borderlands 4. Follow this guide to locate all Auger bolts for Defiant Calder for the Auger memorial.

How to Unlock Returned to the Mountain

Complete Main Mission His Vile Sanctum

Borderlands 4 - Returned to the Mountain Side Mission Location

To start Returned to the Mountain, you must have completed the main mission His Vile Sanctum.

Once done, go to Belton's Bore at Terminus Range and talk to Defiant Calder.

Locate Clavehome

Go to Clavehome at The Lambent Mines, marked on the map.

Borderlands 4 - Auger Bolt Locations
Inside the mines, collect seven bolts from fallen Augers. Kill the enemies inside to make your search easier.

You may use ECHO-4 to trace paths leading to the bolts. To find them faster, you may also set ECHO-4's pathfinding duration to Short in the settings.

Collect Fallen Augers' Bolts

The first bolt can be found on a ledge near the entrance. It is with a bloody corpse crushed by a pipe.

The second bolt is further inside the mines, by a tent with candles atop a platform.

The third bolt is in a room with two bloody corpses.

Borderlands 4 - Auger Bolt 4
The fourth bolt is with a crushed corpse surrounded by broken machinery.

Borderlands 4 - Reach Upper Level of Mines
Borderlands 4 - Auger Bolt 5
The fifth bolt can be found in a room with Auger corpses on the uppermost level of the mines. You will have to access this level by using your grappling hook.

The sixth bolt is on a collapsing platform.

Borderlands 4 - Auger Bolt 7
The seventh bolt is on a beam.

Lay the Bolts on the Memorial

# Walkthrough
1 After collecting all the bolts, return to Calder at Belton's Bore.

Borderlands 4 - Auger Memorial
Go to the Augers' memorial and place the bolts on the green markers.
3 Listen to Calder's final remarks to end the mission.
