This is a walkthrough for the Dark Subject mission in Borderlands 4. Read on to follow the objectives and clear the mission.

Break Into Black Site
| # | Walkthrough |
|---|---|
| 1 | After completing Crystal Brawl, return to Defiant Calder in Beltor's Bore to start the mission. |
| 2 |  Head northeast to the Enclave Repository. Follow the marked objective and grapple up the mountain from the eastern side to meet Amara. |
| 3 |  Follow Amara into Lictor's Black Site. Kill the creeps in the area, including Tim. |
Find Lilith

| 1 |  On the upper right side of the area, use your grappling hook to remove the grille from the vent and enter the black site. Interact with the switch to open the door. There are vending machines nearby. Take this opportunity to replenish your ammo, as more enemies await inside. |
| 2 |  Proceed into the black site until you reach an open area. Kill the escaped experiments! Then, interact with the terminal near the door to open it. |
| 3 | Enter through the door and flip the switch on the console to activate the holo-table. |
| 4 |  Vile Prototype will then appear. Kill the test subject to proceed! To damage the boss, shoot the crystals on its body as quickly as possible, as they will reappear. |
| 5 |  Open the vent on the right side of the holo-table and enter. Delve deeper into the black site until you reach another open area. Kill the creeps! |
| 6 |  Press the button on the terminal near the Rift phase to trigger a cutscene. |
| 7 | After the cutscene, follow Amara outside to complete the mission. |
